Dr Nathan Anderson

Dr Nathan Anderson is a Victorian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in spinal surgery. He manages a broad range of spinal conditions including disc prolapse, degenerative and traumatic disorders, scoliosis, and tumours.

Dr Anderson attended medical school at the University of Melbourne. He then completed an internship and residency at St Vincent’s Hospital in Fitzroy, after which he was accepted into the Orthopaedic training program. He spent time working throughout both metropolitan and regional Victoria, and he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

Nathan’s post-fellowship training under both orthopaedic and neurosurgical mentors has equipped him with advanced skills in minimally invasive, robotic, and computer-navigated spine surgery. He has a particular interest in deformity correction surgery.

Dr Anderson currently holds a public appointment at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He operates privately at Epworth Hospital in Richmond, The Northern Private Hospital in Epping, and Warringal Private Hospital in Heidelberg.

His approach focuses on clear communication, shared decision-making, and achieving optimal outcomes for every patient. He is passionate about education, actively involved in mentoring and teaching Orthopaedic Surgical trainees, and is a valued member of the spinal trauma team
